Used Venere as their price was less than Hotel quoted. When we arrived the Triple room that had been confirmed by the Hotel was not available so they crammed a Cot into a Double room. I agree this place has its own ambience and character, but it just didn't go with me. The "ambience" included chipped bathroom tiles, questionable sheets, and the squeaky dusty floor. Although a 2 star hotel, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Azzi. The room was big, if not exactly refined. Lots of second hand furniture, but we didn't really mind. We stayed at the Azzi on our honeymoon and absoluley LOVED it. The staff were friendly, the hotel had a wonderfully relaxed vibe and the location couldn't have been better. 5 minutes walk from the train station though you would never know. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Florence. more

Clostrophobia to the extreme - Narrow hallways, no elevator, and the room was like grandma's non-remodeled home from 100 years ago. Terrible paint, bed, furnishings, and ambience. I'd rather stay at a Motel 6 in the US than this dump. Oh, if you need crack or a hooker, they're right on the street that this hotel is located on. more
