Excellent location, at a walking distance from train station and every touristic spot. Mr Antonio, the owner, does everything, and he is kind and helpful. We would pay a little extra for having a frigo and a hairdrayer. After a long day walking, you can find helpful hints for a intimate room dinner at the nice bakery (alimentari) in front.... more

We stayed in room #1 for two nights in June 2009. Prepare to carry your own luggage up the stairs but once we arrived in the room it offered one twin bed and one double/queen. While the room and bathroom were small, if was just what we needed... clean, comfortable and quiet and the a/c worked just great. As stated... more

The B&B, Hotel Delle Camelie was perfect for us - inexpensive, good location, clean, comfortable, and a small balcony overlooking a courtyard. Not luxurious but ideal value for cost. Very helpful staff - from making reservations for museums when we requested their help before we arrived, to holding our bags after we checked out so we could have one last day... more

The hotel is ideally situated close to the station and not too far from the major sites by foot. The entrance to the hotel is as if you are entering an apartment block. There is no formal reception until you have past through a common lobby serving private flats at second and third floor levels. Antonio, the patron, was very... more

On a very quiet street. Inn keeper very nice and went out of the way to be helpful. Less than 10 min walk to the duomo and the train station. Liked the breakfast too. more

Only stayed in Florence for one night, and arrived by train so was crucial to find an inexpensive hotel close to the station and main sights. This hotel was perfect. Not too far from the station, and the owner was happy to give us a triple room that was free because our twin room was not ready (we arrived very... more

We were planning to stay at the Dali (because it was cheap and had parking), but having driven in the nightmare one way maze of Florence and found the entrance to be tiny and having beeping italian idiots behind me, we changed plans. After getting out of the centre the traffic was still terrible but we saw a sign for... more

The Hotel delle Camelie is perfectly located: near the major sites in Florence, yet tucked away on a quiet street. The hotel is very attractive in an "old-world" way, with plenty of elegance and character. Our room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff (Antonio in particular) were a pleasure to deal with, whether calling taxis or making museum... more
