I would definitely stay there again. The great location is a huge plus if you are looking to shop around in Florence and want to put your items back to the hotel room. I booked Hotel Lombardi for the Easter weekend having read previous tripadvisor reviews on this hotel. The hotel has a great location, being near Santa Maria Novella station and within comfortable walking distance to the main sites in Florence. In spite of the negative connotations of the title, we had a good experience of this hotel. The man at reception was extremely welcoming and our room very spacious. there was some misunderstanding as the website had said private bath and shower but this in italy means 'bathroom' rather than bath.
