The location was so amazing. We were traveling with a family so unfortunately we did not have a room with an awesome view, but we loved this place. Very friiendly hosts. Simple breakfasts. A lot of stairs- not a problem for us- but be aware. A perfect location to see Florence's treasures by foot. more

Right by the Duomo and Grom, the best gelateria ever. Kelly and Lucca are very accomodating. The rooms are goodly sized and have no TVs, which is fine by us. Pick a room in the back; they're very quiet. Shelf space in the bathrooms is tight but get creative and it's not a problem. Breakfast in the room is a... more

This hotel is extremely centrally located. It's right across the street from the Duomo. We could see it from our room. And everyone is on that piazza. Starting from morning until late at night. It is a very noisy area. They do have a double set of windows, so it should close out all the noise, but our a/c wasn't... more

Kelly and Lucca were very gracious hosts. On Rick Steve's recommendation, my husband and I had a quiet room (without a view) and my daughter and her husband had a surprisingly quiet room facing the Duomo (a 2nd set of soundproof windows helped reduce the outside noise). The rooms were quite spacious, the bathrooms were small, but that's not unusual... more

I stayed here with a few girlfriends and we all loved it. Get a room facing the Duomo - the view is amazing. Walking distance to everything. Friendly and helpfull staff that speaks English perfectly. They bring you breakfast to your room every morning. Great value. more

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steves. We used his Italy book to chose hotels for our trip. We arrived to Florence by train and walked to the hotel. It was really easy to find and took about 10 minutes to walk. Once you get to the square where the Baptistery and Duomo are located, to the direct south of... more

We stayed 3 nights at this charming B&B that has the best location in Florence...within short walking distance to all the major sights. The owners are very accommodating & assisted with booking museum reservations. The rooms are very clean & a nice breakfast is served in your room and the time of your choice ! Overall, a great place to... more

We stayed in Florence for two nights in September 2008 and had a really nice time. The property is literally right next door to the Duomo and Baptistery. The location is fantastic, the rooms are large and clean, and the breakfast (served in your room) is also really nice. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They made reservations for... more

We were in Florence over the holidays and booked late. We were looking at nearly 500 Euros a night before we found Soggiorno Battistero. The most important criteria to us at the time was cleanliness. But, now that we've stayed there, we learned about a lot of other things that contribute to a comfortable stay. I can understand why so... more

Here are my impressions Plus Location, location, location! Good value for the Price, rooms are clean and quiet. Kelly is very friendly and helpful. Not so great (but wouldn't stop me from booking here again). No TV in the room, on the 3rd floor no elevator. Beds and pillows are hard but that seems to be normal in Italy all... more
