This hotel was great! In the heart of Florence with the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the Ufizi Gallery only 5-10 mins away and only 5-8 mins from the train station which is the best way to get to Florence. The service is 1s class the owners are always there for advise you where to go and what to do... more

We stayed at the Hotel Columba for a night in early November and it was fantastic. The room was nice - clean, fairly big and quiet. It allowed for a good, quiet night's sleep. Breakfast was provided the next morning and was a good way to start the day. The location was excellent, the hotel is only a few blocks... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Colomba. The people were very friendly, the room was clean, and the location was great. There is also a nice shop nearby with cheese, wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, truffles, etc. Try the truffle salt. more

Florence can be overwhelming for the art tourist. It takes a quiet island to restore your sanity every night after you walk your feet off in museums and palazzos all day. Sometimes in the thrum of a frenetic pursuit of museums and palazzos, you want a centrally located, perfectly functioning, immaculate, small hotel where the owners feel like neighbors and... more

This small and very clean hotel gives you 5 star service with a smile. It is steps away from everything you want to see and do in Florence. Rosanna is a pleasure. She is very helpful and kind. This was by far the most enjoyable stay in a hotel we encountered during our 2 week tour though Italy. Far superior... more

Thank the internet, Trip Advisor travelers, and my husband for rescuing our trip to Tuscany! Three of us arrived in Florence after 2 weeks in Tuscany and needed a clean, quiet room to end our trip. Roxanna of Hotel Colomba gave us the perfect ending - immaculately clean rooms with starched linens, a little refrig for the prosecco, room to... more

We booked this hotel after looking at very encouraging reviews on Trip advisor. When we reached the hotel, I got very worried as the entrance is not at all like a hotel. Its on the 2nd floor and the elevator can only squeeze in 2 people (and I mean squeeze in!!!). However, we were greeted by Rosanna at check in,... more

We are a couple with an 11 year old girl who stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It is in a great location on Via Cavour, close to all major sights, banks, shopping and restaurants. We had a very large room, with an excellent bathroom. This great little hotel provides an above average continental breakfast and nothing is too... more
