This is a very nice place to stay. My single room was twice the size of other b and b and small hotel rooms I have stayed in in Europe. The public rooms are so lovely and inviting with beautiful furniture. The elevator worked perfectly and was an asset. Lovely wool blankets wer just the thing on cool nights in... More

Very helpful staff, talked English well, grounds nice, room nice fairly large by European standards. Breakfast okay. Room was a little cool and shower not too hot, Location was great just a short walk to Pitti Palace which was wonderful. Even has an elevator. More

A bit of an institutional feel but, nice large rooms. Quiet. Cheerful, multi-lingual front desk staff. More

This working convent is located in the "locals" part of Florence which my daughter and I loved. Large, very clean rooms with beautiful gardens to walk through or sit with a book. The nuns are friendly and run a professional, affordable get away. Truly an unforgettable stay. More

Located on Piazza del Carmine in Florence, this convent lodging is not for those who want to be pampered or like to stay in the touristy section of the city. For the rest of us, this is the perfect place to stay. I led a group of 22 that used this as the base for our five-day stay in Florence.... More

Our family of five stayed in a very large room with five twin beds and a private, locked bathroom down the hall. The room had a very high ceiling painted with a beautiful mural. The nuns were great, and the building was fascinating, with a very interesting history. Breakfast was typical for bed and breakfast places in Italy, but certainly... More

We were travelling with our 2 teenage daughters and a six year old and our room was a 5 single bed dormitory with a private bathroom. The accommodation was very basic but clean and nice. It is a working convent housed in a beautiful old building surrounded by lovely gardens. The nuns and all the staff were very friendly and... More

I Love this place!!! I stayed for 4 day in September. The staff was helpful and the nuns that worked or spent time around the front desk were absolute treasures! Honestly !!! Quiet, clean. perfect!!! How they manage to do that a heart's beat away from Santo Spirito and in the piazza of parking I'll never know but it truly... More

We stayed at the Casa Santo Nome di Gesu for 8 nights this summer. The Casa is beautiful with lovely private gardens. Our room was large and immaculate with a bathroom and shower. It was very quiet, as our room overlooked the garden and we had a view of the local church dome in the distance. At night the dome... More

I stayed here by myself (female, mid-twenties, first time to Florence) and this place couldn't be better. It was resonably priced, no frills place to stay that was clean and good location. I could walk everywhere from here. The breakfast was simple but good. The nuns don't speak much English but there are people at the front desk (usually at... More
