my husband and i stayed at novecento last weekend. it was our first time in florence and it was very special, in part, thanks to novecento b and b. The hosts were very accomadating and willing to do many things to make our stay enjoyable- even cooking us eggs for breakfast which is impossible to find in italy. the room... more

What a great place. The owners were awesome even helping us carry our luggage up the stairs upon entering. They went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed including a nice selection of wines for purchase at a reasonable price to enjoy on the rooftop terrace. Less than a block from the Duomo, in fact what... more

The proprietors were strange and not very nice. They reminded me of the play Les Miserable in "Master of the House"! This place is not what it claims to be, no real breakfast, rooms are small and narrow stairs. The toilet system is questionable and you shower in the bathroom since there is no real shower. The roof-top terrace is... more

If you're looking for a great place to stay in Florence, look no further. Based on a rave recommendation from our close friends, we stayed for 3 nights at the B&B Novencento. Upon arrival, after a few short blocks walk from the train station, we were greeted warmly by our energetic and friendly host, Franco Novencento. The B&B is located... more

I travelled alone in Italy in Oct 2008 and chose this B & B after seeing the pictures on the web. It's a bad decision. With so many compliments here saying how clean, good the rooms are, I have however a different experience. There were bed bugs and I felt uncomfortable and itching through the night (it surprised me as... more

My family and I loved our stay! Everything from the gracious hospitality of our hosts to the beautiful and creatively designed rooms made our stay unique and relaxing! We truly enjoyed the view and the rooftop patio, a private escape from the crazy huslte and bustle of Florence. I would recommend this place to anyone! After living in Florence for... more

My dad, brother, and I traveled and stayed all over Italy on our trip this summer. Novecento was the best experience I had second only to staying with the family I have there. The owners Franco and Sawako are a lovely couple and very VERY accommodating. The rooms are a pretty descent size in comparison to city spaces (and I'm... more

Just got back from nine days in Florence. I went with a small group and we all stayed at different budget accomodations. Unlike most of my friends, I have nothing but good to say about my hotel stay. I was a two minute walk from the Duomo and within a 15 minute walk of many other historic sites. My room... more

Having seen the lovely photos of this central B&B we thought we had a real find. The rooms which are beautifully and very cleverly photographed on their site are tiny, don't be fooled. DO NOT stay in the Lilac room, we were offerred this, it is at the back, and directly over someones kitchen - it just smelt of cooking... more

We recently spent a long week-end at the Novecento - it really was a little gem in the centre of Florence, small, very friendly, spotlessly clean and within easy walking distance of all the sights - with the help of the map provided by our hosts, carefully marked with points of interest. We could not have chosen a better location... more
