Stayed here for a few nights, it’s about a 30 minute walk to the main shopping districts. Overall hotel was enjoyable. Breakfast was very tasty and had a good variation of food and drinks. Lobby design was very chic, and the staff were friendly. I would go back again.

It was one of the nicest accommodations I have stayed in, this was due to the very friendly and smiling staff. Breakfast was delicious and extremely varied. On the first day we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco in our room, which was a great surprise. At the same time, I was surprised by the fact that we had everything we needed in the bathroom, including micellar water, as well as all the cleanliness in the hotel. Moreover, it is close to all the sights. I think it's the nicest place to stay in Florence, and Tomasso is the best receptionist :)

Hotel is located to the north east of the central area of Florence. A good 20/25 minute walk through non tourist area of the city. Taxi 12/15€, The reception area would appear to have had the main recent upgrade mentioned in other reviews. The reception staff we met were all excellent, dealt with issues to the letter, and are a compliment to the hotel and themselves, in particular Tomasso. The others I apologize for not having their names. Our room was best described as very tired, a lot of guests and that has taken it's toll. The bathroom has a sliding rail shower, no over head. The bath was extremely old, and showed the signs of wear. The bed was on the other hand, only a king-size, but the bedding luxurious and felt new and gave a lovely sleep. Breakfast is a let down, no atmosphere and the the staff in that area do not appear happy. Food was not refreshed with eggs going hard and cold. Limited availability and if you missed it you don't miss much. Happier eating out. Would we stay there again, sadly No.

This hotel is incredibly old ( and not in a good way) . The lobby looks charming but once you get inside the hotel, it feels like a 2 star hotel. There were holes in the walls, shower handles coming off , toilet seats stained , and stains on the headboard . I had to go down to ask them to turn on the air conditioner because it didn’t work from the room- and then they chose the temperature ( I couldn’t adjust it as needed unless I went down to the lobby ) when I asked if I could only stay for one night and cancel the other two- they said it was not refundable and that this hotel was just “ historical” ….. another word for broken down and old. The staff was very nice and I don’t have complaints as far as their kindness but I would have never stayed in this hotel if I knew that’s how it was going to be inside . The reviews on here are very deceiving so I’m writing this to help others when expecting a 4 star hotel but getting 2 star quality.

The hotel room was clean and modern. Breakfast had a decent variety of food and was good. The location was about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo so it wasn't too far. Housekeeping was great. We had 3 people in the room and they remembered to provide the correct number of towels etc. they had a small but nice afternoon tea offering in the lobby area with a grand piano. The staff were friendly especially the night hotel clerk, Tomasso. He provided exceptional service and was always so helpful with our hotel needs. He provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and made reservations for the eight of us on a couple of occasions He was very friendly and always had a warm smile to greet us.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. From the very start they were very helpful with directions, questions we may have and gave great suggestions. Hotel is about 20 mins walk from core sightseeing museums. Cathedral etc. after an amazing meal it was perfect for a walk home. Rooms were spacious for Europe and that was not the upgraded rooms. It was clean and the breakfast in the am was excellent. Staff made wonderful coffee in the am as well. To end our stay the front desk gentleman (I feel Bad didn’t get his name) went above and WAY beyond for us. We had a train at 11/30. He started calling a taxi an hour prior. With no luck. Then the sky opened up pouring rain when we began to walk the 25-30 min with luggage walk to station. He then called his manager Stephanie whom together arranged to have her drive us personally so we didn’t miss our train. Truly went way above and beyond for our family of 4. Very grateful.

Awful experience at this old dirty and dusty hotel. Bath sink is so old it lost its colour and became grey with white spots. It was terrified to look at it. I wouldn’t give any star to this hotel. Poor cleaning lots of dust on the furniture Pictures are included.

Dear guests, I am truly sorry to read this review. I believe it is truly unfair to discredit every aspect of our hotel when you could have mentioned that the bathtub is indeed worn out (not dirty) and, in fact, we are gradually replacing them. However, it is not fair to demonize the entire room without providing any photos. The rooms have recently been renovated with new furniture and beds. Cleanliness is one of our strengths, along with our staff and services. You unjustly demanded a full refund without justification. You had expectations for services such as valet parking, which we are not obligated to provide, and you came from another hotel with similar complaints. The service you requested has different costs in Florence during the season. You enjoyed the breakfast and probably many other aspects that you forgot to highlight. Hope that you enjoyed at least Florence!

We had a lovely stay and although the hotel is a walk from the centre of Florence, the room, outside bar and shower makes up for it. But I must mention the night receptionist Lucca who was excellent - So welcoming even at such a late hour and couldn't do enough for us, so a big thank you must go to him!

We stayed in the suite with the large private terrace. The room was very comfortable and during the warmer summer months meals could be enjoyed on the terrace. Staff were always polite and very helpful. Wear comfortable walking shoes as the hotel is a 20 minute walk to main city center.
