It's not your usual 5 star fancy hotel but rather, it is a small charming hotel with a great location. The best part of the hotel - the staff - they made me feel geniuely welcomed. It's my first time in Florence and obviously doesn't know my way around and worse part was one of the tours I had booked... More

The hotel is not high end but VERY well cared for and the staff is terrific! We had a lovely room with deck for under $90 --free WiFi. A 300 yard walk got us to a bus stop that for 1 euro (buy bus tickert at hotel) got us to the Florence RR station in the thick of it all!... More

Flight leaving at 6am from Peretola. 3 minutes by taxi. Walls are thin. No more to say....except that there is a great restaurant across the street. La Bistecca is a genuine Tuscan restaurant with simple good food. The only others in this restaurant were Italian. The staff at Franchi were helpful and friendly. More

Chose this hotel because of its close location to the airport as we arrived late in the evening. We had planed to stay only one night as we the next day would drive to Pisa. The location was perfect (close to the airport) and the price was very reasonable. No complaints. just don`t expect a 5 star hotel:-) More

We stayed at Hotel Franchi (Frankie) on 3 occasions over a week or so due to travelling in and around Florence. We chose it in the first instance as It is very close to the airport with free parking (very handy if you have a car). We went back the other two times due to availability and cost – we... More

The Hotel Franchi is pretty basic, no frills here. Unless you are on a very tight budget it might be best to shop around. More

This was not easy to find even with a GPS but it was worth it. It has clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and is 5 minutes from the airport. We had a very early flight and the hotel ordered a taxi that came right on time. I definately would recommend it for this purpose. More

Stayed at the Franchi (pronounced Franky) Hotel with my wife in late September 2010. We arrived at the hotel and the front desk spoke English and our check-in went smooth. Our room was on the 5th floor so as we headed for the elevators, we noticed the elevator doors looking rather small. We were barely able to fit our 2... More

This was to be our last night in Florence and wanted to be near the airport. It was, but....the elevator was tiny, it took about 20 minutes for four of us to get to the fourth floor to our rooms. Only one person would fit at a time with two bags!!. The hallways stunk of old cigarette smoke and was... More

The hotel is a quiet one near to the airport. It is not in the best neighborhood and does not have any restaurants nearby. We were told to go to one place a few minutes walk away but it didn't exist! Also the room smelled as though someone had JUST finished chain smoking in it and was sweltering. The hotel... More
