We were staying at the Hotel Centrale (a wonderful place!) and wanted to stay two extra nights once we arrived. They could accommodate us for 1 more night but not the second,so they found us a room at the Burchianti. We were hesitant to move from our very nice hotel, but when we arrived we were amazedat the beautiful and... more

I agree with the other reviewers that the hotel was charming and clean... on the surface. The staff was attentive. And somehow, with my limited italian/spanish/german, we managed to get a great restaurant reccomendation (just 10 feet from the hotel) with the woman who works the nights. Yes, the fresco on the ceiling is a nice touch. However, when I'm... more

After months of searching for the perfect place to stay in Florence, I reserved at Alloro B&B. Our booking was confirmed there, but upon our arrival at Alloro, we were told they had overbooked and couldn't accommodate us! The owner of Alloro called his friend Mario who is the owner of the lovely Burchianti. Thankfully, the Buchianti could accommodate us... more

The hotel was in a great location: within walking distance to/from the metro station and to the Duomo. The staff were pleasant and they were very helpful when we needed to do our laundry and find a children's shoe store. The hotel in general was just beautiful. Our room was just big enough for the 2 1/2 of us and... more

Mario couldn't have done more to make our stay fabulous. He made reservations for us at the museums (saved a lot of money rather than booking online) and he gave us directions. Our room was roomy with wonderful frescos to fall asleep under. Great hotel, located in a great location (block from Medici chapel and few blocks from Duomo). more

After a unfortunate Friday 13th incident it was by chance that we end up at this hotel - and I must say luck must of been on our side, as we end up staying in the charming Burchianti! At first it proved a little hard to find on Via Del Giglio, as it is does not have a building to... more

The Hotel Burchianti is beautiful. It is located on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of historic Florence landmarks and Santa Maria Novella train station. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the manager, Mario. He was very helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for museums and local restaurants. He also shared his knowledge of the history... more

We stayed here for three days (2 nights!) which was great (to put it mildly!) We came across this by accident as we were booked at the Alloro which is at the same address (one floor above Burchianti) and were told the rooms were not available so were put here! I am thankful that it happened as this was a... more

I've been living in Milan for 3 years now as an Expat. So, needless to say, have been visiting and traveling throughout the country from top to bottom. I think the Burchianti is a great little find for anyone. The location is perfect with all major sights, train station and lots of lovely little trattorias within close walking distance. We... more

We went to B and B Alloro in the afternoon to check in and was told our room wasn't available until Wed. I was really upset because that meant we had to pack up again and move to another B and B even though it was upstairs. Cristin really gave no explaination other than someone else was in our room... more
