Having arrived slightly later than our 9pm check in we were met warmly by Laura on reception, she booked a restaurant (Natalino`s) for us which was just around the corner from the hotel serving up delicious pasta, pizza and meat dishes at reasonable prices. The hotel which is a 5 minute drive from the train station is tucked away in a small side... more

Dare I even share this hidden jewel? This was one of the best places in Italy that my husband and I stayed on our honeymoon. We booked the Cerere suite and it was beyond all my expectations. The room is huge and gorgeous, and it felt like we were Renaissance-era nobility hanging out in our luxurious home. Given the age... more

We stayed at Palazzo Galletti for just two days in April, 2008. The Palazzo is on the first floor of a restored bulding just three blocks away from the Duomo. The professionalism of the staff was apparent from the first time we communicated and it proved even better when we got in Florence. They booked tickets for the Uffizzi Gallery... more

Palazzo Galletti is a great B&B in a 15th c. palazzo, centrally location on a fairly quiet street. Walk everywhere! We stayed in the Giove which is a lovely, well attended room with fresco walls that faces a beautiful courtyard. Comfortable king bed, plus a pull-out couch, if needed. High-end marble bathroom (shower only). TV and mini bar. Cool breakfast... more

Great location (close to the Duomo) but on a quiet street. Beautiful, CLEAN and SPACIOUS room with big, clean bathroom. Every room has a small balcony with chairs to enjoy the central courtyard. There's english channels on tv. Free breakfast offers plenty of food (yogurt, toasts, pastries, cereal, etc). Excellent & friendly service (they can book restaurants, taxis and museums).... more

I had a confirmed reservation from Booking.com (all my other reservations with them worked) and arrived to find that "we are full and it is not my fault". No offer to even call a taxi just completely unconcerned that my confirmed reservation was thrown out the window. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. more

Travelled for 5 weeks around Italy, this was by far the best accomodation in Italy.Amazing rooms, bathrooms, great location between the Duomo and Santa Croche. Felt completley taken care of for the 5 day stay there. Highly recommend it. Good value. Can't wait to go back. Cheers, C. Jennings more

We stayed in this wonderful place during our stay in Florence. We loved our room Mercurio (Mercurio Magnifico). The rooms are stunning, the service flawless. Even the minibar charges are incredibly fair. There is only one place to stay in Florence for us and this is it ! It does not get any better than this. A truly stunning, spotless,... more

We visited Florence and Palazzo Galletti on our honeymoon. We stayed in the beautiful suite Cerere, and even though we had seen the pictures it was still amazing to enter that room. The fresco's are just gorgeous, it's like sleeping in a museum! We really liked that Cerere had a more private balcony. We had previously spent 1 night in... more

We stayed in 5 hotels throughout Italy. Without a doubt, the Palazzo Galletti was the absolute best. It is a 10 minute walk from the train and five to the Duomo, ten to the market stalls, 15 to the Ponte Vecchio - all of Florence is within walking distance. There is an enormous flight up the stairs, so it's tough... more
