Was in Firenze for just one night in January 2009 and stayed at the Hotel Aldobrandini. The hotel is located in the perfect spot if you want to be within walking distance to all the city's must-sees. We paid only 65 euros for the night which included breakfast. The breakfast was simple, but tasty and essentially free. January is cold... more

Very nice hotel! The owner is very friendly and gives you every type of information you could need to make your stay in Firenze a real experience. Also, it's really cheap, even when it includes breakfast. And the most important thing?? It's in the middle of the city, so every landmark is just a few steps away. Maybe the trip... more

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was tasty, the hotel manager was fantastic, and we would go back in a heartbeat. For us the hotel was difficult to locate since historical buildings in Florence can't have large signs on them (thank god). However, asking a few friendly folks on the street put us in the right... more

On a 3 week vacation through Europe I was so excited to find this "gem" of a hotel. After only a few hours my outlook began to change. The hotel is owned by a brother and sister...the brother is very nice and truly wants to be accomodating but the sister nothing short of rude - will not acknowledge guests and... more

We stayed here based on some good reviews others had written. We are not high class by any means. HOWEVER, I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. I can't put into words how bad it was. The bed was very hard and sagged. I couldn't even sleep. We were bit up by mosquited and left a note in Italian... more

We stayed here for 2 nights. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were white and actually spotless, we had rooms at the back which were not noisy at all, and the AC worked just fine, the water was piping hot all times of the day, breakfast was ok. NOTHING can beat the location. Dead in the centre, easy access etc.... more

I've had a wonderful time in Florence and it started at the railway station when the owner (Ignasso) invited us to stay at his little hotel. He made us feel at home and gave us good directions to visit the most interesting places in Florence. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. Florence is a fantastic place for... more

My wife and I stayed in Hotel Aldobrandini during our recent visit to Florence and couldn't have been happier. If you are expecting the typical budget hotel, you will be pleasantly surprised! Our room was quite large and everything worked wonderfully. The hotel's marvelous location and Iganzio's (the owner) helpful advice, recommendations, and assistance really made our time in Florence... more

I was trying to save money, but this place was too cheap. The bottom line is that you have to have air conditioning in the summer in Florence. The open windows let in the mosquitoes and noise. In one of our rooms, the shower was a curtain that encircled a tiny space that included the toilet. It was unusable, but... more

The hotel is just about 5mins walk from the railway station and 10 steps away from the medici chapel. The piazza outside the hotel is also bustling with shops, restaurants and take-aways. The owner is friendly and ever willing to help us. (Though his sister didn't smile throughout our whole stay there) Room and breakfast were decent. We paid 75E... more
