We stayed at the Residenza Casanuova for three nights. It's in a super location, about ten to fifteen minutes walk from the Duomo and in an area that feels very Florentine. There are several good local restaurants and bars nearby that were full of locals rather than tourists. The Residenza is the elegant home of the brother and sister who... more

Having been to Florence once before where I stayed at a very central hotel, but with very tiny disappointing rooms, I sought to find better value this time and succeeded with this B&B. We stayed in the Umbrella Room, which was quite spacious and comfortable. This hotel is fairly simple both in term of ammenities and the breakfast offered. It... more

We stayed at this very charming and welcoming B&B in Florence for a romantic weekend. The serviced we received was extraordinary, Beatrice the proprietor went out of her way to help us with suggestion, reservations, advice for locals and even allowed us to check out at 17:00 because no guests were arriving and our plane was leaving late. The room... more

My husband and I stayed at Residenza Casanuova for 3 nights in June. Max and Beatrice are the brother-sister proprietors who were so helpful and pleasant. They speak perfect English! They arranged my tickets to the Uffizi and Academia (no extra charges). Our room opened onto a lovely terrace which we enjoyed each evening. This B&B is about a 10... more

We can only agree with the previous reviewers: this is a wonderful place and the owners, Beatrice and Masimiliano, are delightful. The location is excellent and we quickly got our bearings to the main sights and some excellent retaurants. Our room, gli ombrelli - the umbrellas, was perfect: nicely furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast, with great flexibility on the... more

this is the second time we have stayed here. obviously, since we are return customers, we think very highly of the place and what beatrice and massimiliano provide in terms of quality services. the b & b is a lovely older apartment that has been updated with all modern conveniences about 10 minutes walk from the Duomo. it is a... more

We have just come back from Florence and stayed at the Residenza Casanuova. It is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. This little family run B&B is like a home from home. The rooms are well looked after and the living room or terrace are a nice places to relax after a long day of walking around Florence.... more

When in Florence, especially if you are there for a romantic adventure, be sure to stay at Residenza CasaNuova. This is a family owned bed and breakfast in a gorgeous, typically italian apartment complex. Beatrice and Massimiliano, brother and sister, now own and run the family business of graciously allowing people to stay in their home. Each room has it's... more

Residenza Casanuova is just the best bed and breakfast we ever stayed in, the location was fantastic, it was close enough to walk to the main sights (only 5 mins walk to the Duomo and Santa Croce) and far enough to be in a quiet area and escape the hustle and bustle. We used come back after a long day... more

I spent a weekend at this hotel with my mum. Lovely rooms in a beautiful Florentine palazzo. The brother and sister team who own the place are delightful. They speak a lovely English and are very accomodating. Great value and centrally located - only a 10 minute walk from the Duomo. Great restaurants right down the street. You feel as... more
