My wife and our 8 month old baby stayed at the Palazzo Alfani in May of 2007. You couldn't pick a better place to stay in Florence. The location is perfect. You are literally right across the narrow street from the Accademia, and only 2 blocks from the Duomo. The apartment was completely renovated very recently and it looked great.... more

We stumbled across the Palazzo Alfani after one of Florence's regular trade fairs had put all but uber-luxury hotels beyond our reach. It was a blessing in disguise. The Palazzo is a discreet town house directly opposite the Accademia, and consists of a number of spacious self-contained apartments which include fully-fitted kitchens, separate living room and bed/bathroom.
