Donatella's villa is a gem of Florence. The gardens and the villa are beautifully maintained and the hosts are without par. My daughter was married in the garden's grotto on October 11th, 2012. Donatella even supplied the wedding flowers. From the moment you enter the villa you will feel welcome. Bus service is a short walk away. Breakfast was delicious... More

We were so fortunate to find Donatella's beautiful villa on our first visit to Florence. Our hosts really gave you the feeling that you were a special guest in their home. For art lovers, you can't get any better than having an accomplished artist like Donatella to give you tips on what to visit in Florence. We had booked 3... More

Host is so helpful and a lovely table at breakfast for a good continental breakfast. Nice and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city. Buses are very easy and regular to get in and out of the city centre. Within walking distance of Tuscan Hills for a quieter day away from city sight seeing. Tony & Mandy, Colchester... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and were not disappointed. We had a room with our own bathroom next door, totally private. A sitting room come library was on the same floor, which was real treat. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of fruit, meat, cheese, bread etc. We would certainly stay there again.

Donatella and the Villa Malavolta made our stay in Florence feel like home. She was very helpful with directions, bus schedules, museum info about Florence and even the surrounding area of Tuscany. She directed us to the Etruscan Trails near Sovana and we enjoyed them so much that we would love to go back and spend more time there. Our... More

The villa & garden are delightful. The bedrooms are comfortable and breakfast delicious. We were given a warm welcome with many helpful suggestions from Donattella. Sergio's evening piano playing was a delight. Our stay was one of the highlights of our visit to Tuscany which has left a lasting impression and I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Malavolta, or... More

Villa Malavolta is much more than a B&B - it is a beautifully furnished old aristocratic residence complete with an extraordinary library in several languages, wonderful art and a music room. Our gracious host, Donatella, was among many things, an artist and a wealth of information about Florence, its history, art and the best places to go. The rooms are... More

This secluded villa within walking distance of Florence reminds me of a home in a fairy tale. Beautifully maintained by the elegant and erudite Donatella, it is filled with wonderful old furniture, piles of books and great paintings. Our second floor bedroom had its own terrace with a small table and chairs and pots of flowers. A lace covered table... More
