Perhaps "eccentric" is the kindest way of describing this place.The rooms aren't bad,although they don't have a TV, but they charge 2.50 Euros a day to make up the room and 30 cents per half hour to hire an iron and an ironing board!! The plumbing and shower arrangements are a throwback to another era.The breakfast is naff....they had "forgotten" to get any cereal on our second morning,the grapefruit juice was just red water and a lot of the pre-packed croissants were at least two months past their sell-by date.The coffee was bitter and on the table you were allowed just two sachets of sugar and one pat of butter but since the bread was horrible that was not such a problem! What did stick in the throat was the cost....about £70 per night.We stayed in places in Siena and Florence which were vastly superior and payed a lot less. Oh,and by the way,there are 52 stairs and no lift. more
