Just back from Lucca, found this hotel to be a good base for a leisurely weekend. A couple of nice touches included complimentary bicycles for the obligatory cycle on the city walls, as well as complimentary drinks and snacks during the day. We stayed in the Rezidencia which is a converted jail and part of our room was in a tower, part of the old town walls. It was very tastefully renovated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just spent a long weekend at Ilaria and very pleased with the choice. Room pleasant, spacious and welcome aircon! Staff really friendly and helpful. Free snacks and drinks (incl alcoholic) very welcome. Lovely patio area with Jacuzzi (facebook fame?) Excellent breakfast with good continental choice.
