Situated midway between Lucca and Pisa, this hotel is easy to find, set well back from the main road and surrounded by gardens and countryside. It is an ideal base for visiting these two towns. Our room in the old mansion was spacious and simply furnished, full of charm and character. The bathroom was a little small and could have... more

I and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The views from the hotel are outstandings! The hotel itself is so beautiful and full of history. Room was nice and clean, basic but had all we needed. Breakfast was also nice enough and food at the restaurant (they just cook dinners) was excellent. We never used the swinningpool... more

we arrived after a beautiful drive from Bologna airport. We had booked online so we had no idea what we were going to find. All I can say is that this villa hotel is just as beautiful as the photos on the website. Unusually we were given the room that we had asked for - in the main villa. (we... more

usually when i return to places i loved after almost a decade i am disappointed. not this time. considering the rinascimento is only a *** hotel, it probably represents one of the best value for money i bumped into lately. we had a room in the villa (make sure you book the 150e p.n. first floor rooms - so you... more

My fiance and I spent a week at Villa Rinascimento as our base for exploring Tuscany and there was only one word I can use to describe it - PERFECT!!! The staff are lovely, and Roberta was so helpful - keeping in contact with me by e-mail right up to our trip and arranging our transfers to and from the... more

Why would you travel to Tuscany? If your answer is: to experience a beautiful Tuscan village and the charm and warmth of the people, then stay at this hotel. The hotel is charming, the grounds are lovely and the people could not be nicer. But remember, you are staying in a building constructed in the 1500s, 1600s, how fun is... more

We were disappointed with the accomodations in this hotel. We had a room in one of the villas, detached from the main building. The room was what we would call a "cheap motel" room in the US. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, very cheap tables, very poor lighting, could not see very well after dark. The bathroom had a... more

Ok, maybe it's because we showed up near the end of their season, but we arrived at 6pm and the place was dark. Someone, who later turned out to be one of the owners, came out, gave us the key and said "the room is up there." The lack of hospitality from the owners was the worst I have ever... more

We stayed here in July and had a wonderful time. I rang Roberta from Ireland and once i heard her welcoming voice I had a good feeling about this place. We didn't hire a car and didn't feel we needed one - Roberta arranged for a taxi to pick us up from Pisa airport and we shaed the fare with... more

Simple country hotel/villa. Rooms were basic but comfortable, lovely views of surroundings. Wonderful setting for eating out in the evening on the hotel veranda. On one evening we didn't fancy a whole meal and staff were happy to prepare a light snack for us. We didn't find the local village ...oops. We took a taxi into Lucca which cost about... more
