Hotel Rex may is not located within the walls of the old town, however, it's conveniently right next to the train station and right across the street from the gates into the old town. Our first impression was of a front foyer that could do with a spruce up but the welcome was good and we had an immediate offer of free parking right outside the hotel. The hotel was in a great location, just outside the city wall and only about a 3-5 minute walk into the centre.
