Al Tuscany is located right in the heart of everything in Lucca, but that's not what makes it so great. The people who work at Al Tuscany go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. I was provided with a map, marking our location as well as off the beaten track restaurants of very good quality... more

My husband and I had a long confirmed reservation at the Al Tuscany for a night in September. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room had experienced some problems and storm damage due to the recent rain storm. The man who gave us this information then asked us if we would like to stay at another B & B,... more

Stayed with my husband and adult daughter for 5 days. This is a typical Italian B&B so don't expect the Ritz - however we found it an enjoyable experience feeling part of the Italian neighbourhood. Staff were great especially Marina, the Scottish Italian lady responsible for breakfast which was very well supplied. Great location with an excellent trattoria next door... more

We were pleasantly surprised at this b&b in the centre of walled part of Lucca. It was about a 15 minute walk from the train station and easy to find. We had wondered what was behind those gigantic 12' doors that we have seen residents go into and that is exactly where Al Tuscany was! There is the tiniest elevator... more

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful four nights at Al Tuscany. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess Marina. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely bathroom. The Air conditioning was much appreciated. The large circular table around which guests sat for breakfast was a wonderful way of meeting other travellers and sharing experiences. Breakfast was... more

Me and my husband stayed at Al Tuscany for 2 nights and it was very hard to check out because we did not want to come back again! I could really live there, definatly! The location is perfect, with all the amazing things of Lucca just around the corner; the room was very clean, cozy and spacious with a nice... more

what a place. We were a bit daunted by the outside when we arrived as it was covered with scaffolding due to renovation work. But having reached the 3rd floor B & B by a tiny lift, we were amazed. The welcome couldnt have been better evn though we arrived at 7pm (an hour later than check in normally finishes,... more

We have just returned from a 7 day stay in the Al Tuscany. The owner and the others members of staff could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to help us with any questions we had. The room was at the very top of the building and was small with a low beamed ceiling. I did... more

We arrived in Lucca tired after a terrible flight with Easyjet and also slightly apprehensive after reading a review of a mansard room at Al Tuscany in Tripadvisor but needn't have worried because the room was ideal for us both. The decor and furnishings were rustic and traditional for the area. Facilities included air conditioning, dvd player and safe as... more
