This place is also reviewed as the Campeggio Torre Pendente, and has mixed reviews at best!
I stayed here with my son for two nights in April 2009. As reviews state, there is quite a long underpass you must go through to reach the campsite, which is in a slightly industrial part of town.
It is only 800 metres from the Field of Miracles, and the Underpass and general area surrounding the campsite might be unsightly, but it was never dangerous or populated with youths and hooligans. The only people we encountered in the underpass was cyclists passing through rather than taking a busy road.
The campsite itself was clean, had a nice pool (you do need to wear bathing caps for it) and was outstanding value at only €22 per person per night. Accomodation was in the form of a small permanent caravan which offered shower room and WC. There was also a little patio area to the front ... and contrary to earlier reviews, there is AC and mosquito nets on the windows. Rooms...
