As others have said, the ground floor and bar area lives up to the four star but once in the rooms it is not much better than a two star. Arriving in Pisa without a reservation we found ourselves in the situation of taking the last room in Pisa at the Grand. We were impressed by location which was, quite literally, second to none. The hotel was a little dated but clean and with very good staff. Excellent value for money considering location, met our expectations and I even recommended it to my mother (so it must be OK). more

I'd only stayed in Pisa once before so arrived at this hotel with an open mind. This was the worst hotel I have ever been to..the staff were very unhelpful and very rude. The rooms were dirty and the shower leaked into the room. The only thing is the tower is literally 5 min walk away. But never again will I go there it was like a hostel. more
