This is NOT a five star hotel although the prices are very five star. Despite a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff on reception, the room was barely 3-star. It was dusty, noisy from the kitchen being above and very small. The breakfast was very unappetising, lukewarm and shabby. Some nice furniture was dotted around but some staff... more

We had a short stay in Pisa and chose this hotel after reading recent reviews on this site. The hotel is so close to the leaning tower, only a short walk. As we expected the rooms were small but comfortable. The mini bar had non alcoholic drinks for free but nothing else. We had a comfortable stay and were made... more

I read the other reviews before going and I agreed with the +ve ones and could not understand what the -ve ones were on about. It is ideally located a couple of mins walk from the Tower etc. All the staff are very very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are wonderful: on Saturday we had a choice of caviar, champers,... more

After booking this hotel decided to read all the review, yes I know that is a backward way of doing it. Read good reports and bad ones, so had a very open mind when arrived. Arrived too early for my room on a sunday morning, they were very helpful, told me I could use the lounge or sit outside and... more

This is one of the most overpriced places I've ever stayed in my life. The so-called junior suite -- at 540 Euros -- was a small room with a little table and chairs (presumably why they called it a jr. suite). The elevator was not in service while we were there and while the front desk was friendly, they were... more

We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon as we were flying home from Pisa. Some of the criticisms levied by other reviewers still stand i.e. the lack of international TV channels and we also experienced tricky air con. However the service was charming and helpful, breakfast delicious and location excellent. Additionally our room (on the top floor... more

When the time for our trip to dell'Orologio arrived we were a little anxious because of all the bad reviews we'd seen on this site. So I need to make something clear. If you want a big international hotel with big rooms and everything always working perfectly go to one of the big international hotels near the airport. If you... more

When we arrived at the hotel there was an old and elegant woman screaming and swearing at the receptionist; we thought she was a client but then the waitress told us she was the owner!! Unbelievable! A five stars hotel with a very impantient director! Anyway the hotel was overpriced, very small room for a 5 stars hotel and also... more

This hotel is rated as a 5 star - but certainly doesn't provide 5 star facilities. The room was very small, our air-con didn't work and the TV in the room did not have an international selection. That said, the price was very good. Good location for the Leaning Tower and the staff were very friendly and efficient. All in... more

I just don't understand the bad reviews and the poor rating this cute little hotel has received. We booked to stay here the last night of our trip to Italy as we were flying out of Pisa airport. As always I read the Trip Advisor reviews and was a bit unsure. However, I was able to get a really good... more
