Sitting in the USA and making reservations can always be a bit disconcerting, but even tho, this B&B was a bit off the beaten path, It was so relaxing and spacious, that I had wished that I booked for two or more nights. After meeting the owner, we were led to Rooms 1 and 2. Spacious rooms, both with bathroom and a hall connecting the two. Really a perfect space for my husband and I and my 26 yr. old son. Both rooms had queen beds. Our rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable, great linens, great towels, wonderful AC, large bathrooms AND they serve Dinner if we chose to take it. And we do. It was a bit of a drive up here on partial gravel roads, but this place is so charming, all that disappeared. Thank goodness, we don't have to drive back down. We had time to walk around and check out the place. There are vineyards full of grapes on all sides of the roads. And wonderful views of San Gimignano on some of those roads. There also is a view of San Gimignano by the pool. I got to meet the family, the wife, who had a baby, and a little girl, who was so cute and understood a bit of English. We asked for dinner at 7:30, and so we met outside on the beautiful terrace where 3 places were set. Genvra was our server. Very charming gal that helped out with the menu. Started with a White Vernaccia di San Gimginano DOCG Fattorio Poggia Alloro- 8Euros. Perfect wine with the croutons and Pate's and Capaccio with tomatoes. I ordered Penne with Saffron which was fantastic, the guys ravioli with cheese and Penne with beef. Ordered a bottle of a red Castello d'Albola 2013 Chianti Classico-DOCG or E18. Was delicous! Arugula and tomato salad had such fresh tomatoes. Yum! Breakfast was a bit more meager, but I had enough. The meat ran out a bit early, but I was still full from last night. I can't say enought about this place. I wish I knew the Senor's name. He did not know too much English, but enough to get by. Then, I left my FITBIT in our room and we drove to our next destination, which was Montalcino. Called to tell the owner to keep it for me, and when I came back 4 days later, it was there. Yea! Thanks so much for your hospitality!!…
