We stayed at the Palazza al Torriano for 4 nights in late July 2007. It really was absolutely wonderful. It was 85 euros a night, for a glorious bedroom, with a balcony (rooms 9 and 10 have a balcony). It was spotless, quiet, comfortable, and in a great, central spot in wonderful San Gimignano. We stayed for 1 night and had 4 rooms. Every room was wonderful!! Our son, daughter-in-law and daughter had a suite which was very nice the bathroom was down a flight of stairs (within the room) and was huge and very clean. Palazzo al Torrione is truly a gem in a lovely medieval city. For the price it will knock your socks off. I'd say it was the best place we stayed in Italy (it was certainly the most comfortable!), but thanks to tripadvisor our stays at Il Nido in Sorrento and the Hotel Berti in Assisi were wonderful, too.
