The rooms at this place are clean and a small step above the pack. But you've got to walk up six floors to get to your room. The upside is your view from the terrace. A church on the left and a church on the right. Down the centre it's all red tiled rooftops. And if it's greenery you're after... More

I was thinking this was a B&B where the owners lived. But it's more like a shared apartment. There are some students from some of Siena's universities living there permanently. I had a twin room on the top floor. There's no view, which I knew, but a roof window. The living room downstairs has breathtaking views over the city. You... More

I stayed at Casa di Anna which is located at Via Del Costone 2. It's was an excellent location and the accommodation (1 bedroom apartment) was perfect for me since I was on my own and wanted my own space with a bathroom. It was a short distance from the Duomo and Piazza del Campo which was ideal. Actually, it... More

The hotel is an apart hotel, so n ever arrive before the check-in time, because nobody's there. The conditions are excelent above the old city. It's marvelous. Expect no elevator until the 5 floor and have another one to climb at the end and another one if it's the second floor of the hotel itself. So don't carry lot of... More

Watch out! the owner of this hotel runs two different hotels - "I terzi di Siena" (50m from Piazza del Campo) and "La Magione di Camollia" (1km = 15 min walk from the Piazza). They switch the resrvations from one hotel to another according to their needs but they don't inform the guests correctly. Our story: We booked two nights... More

A lot of stairs up but you are rewarded with great views of the city from the balcony and the room (ours anyway). Also kitchen facilities and a nice room close to Il Campo. Good wifi and nice shared bathroom.

There are several places in Siena owed by a family. I lived in two of them. One is located on a 7th floor (112 steps, but the view up there is tremendous!) and consists of several rooms with shared bath and kitchen. Very clean, well equipped, and authentic. Another one is an apartment with kitchen and bath ensuite, extremely beautiful... More

After you climbe 112 steps to the top floor where the hotel is located you are rewarded with fantastic view of roofs and domes of Siena. The hotel is in the very center of the town. If you do not mind that you share a bath and kitchen and that you have to climb to the top floor, then I... More
