Stayed here for two nights on our 17 day Rick Steves's tour of Italy. Our room was clean and comfortable with a view out toward the stadium. The public spaces of the hotel, including a small outdoor area where we had our evening vino, the lobby, and the breakfast room were all lovely. Breakfast here was quite good. It is... more

We stayed in Siena after six days in the Cinque Terre and two in Rome. Hotel Chiusarelli was just what we needed. You never think that you need to plan in a "rest day" when planning your trip but after a week of running around every second we definitely needed one. We checked into the hotel and they carried our... more

Stayed at this hotel in June 2008 on an Italy trip with my son. For the two of us, this hotel was adequate. If I go back with my wife, I would stay elsewhere. On the positive side, the price was good. The staff was friendly and gave us a good dinner recommendation. Even though the weather was very hot,... more

This hotel is in a great location, safe for a solo traveler and offers breakfast and wireless internet access (euro 5 for 3 hours). The room and bathroom were spacious. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the maids did not do a good job of cleaning and I was on the first floor with my windows opening up directly onto... more

I stayed at Hotel Chiusarelli recently as part of a group of 70 for five nights. We almost filled the hotel. The rooms were scrupulously clean and adequately sized and furnished, though those at the front experienced road noise. Beds and pillows were a bit hard but not unusually so. The lack of lift was a problem for some members... more

The Hotel is in the heart of the old city. It is beautiful with large rooms and a wonderful tub/shower. we had our small yorkie with us; no problem. Beds were so comfortable. The air is pure. The staff is courteous, helpful, and honest (corrected an error in our bill before we even noticed it). Breakfast was included and very... more

This is a very nice hotel in Siena. Our room was clean, spacious and had a view of the football (or soccer) stadium. We were a little surprised how far away the hotel was from the main square (5-10 minutes), but it was a lovely walk. As with most hotels in Siena, there is no parking, but we could park... more

We arrived in Siena without a hotel. Stopped at the tourist office...this hotel was cold, no heat till Nov. front desk clerk not helpful. No shower curtain, towel for thin and smelled dirty... I really don't agree with Rick Steve's hotel choices..I need more comforts and cleaner digs. This hotel was mentioned in his book. I would not ever go... more

We booked this hotel through Siena's tourist office right in town. We were booking literally last minute as we had arrived in Siena without a place to stay. We were offered the Chiusarelli for $100 EUR/night. We only stayed for 2 nights and it was more than sufficient. The location is great. You think you are on the outside, but... more
