For a large but poorly marked building, the Residenza provides surprisingly comfortable accomodations for its otherwise moastical appearance. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and yet is very cool and calm in a lovely old building ( no lift and up several floors so be warned..). Very good accommodations in Siena... within the city wall so just a few minutes walk to the center of town and Il Campo. Room was huge and clean and provided a great view over part of Siena with the church in the distance. No elevator, so if you're older or travel heavy beware. Staff was friendly and helpful. more
