My girlfriend and I stayed at several places while visiting a string of different cities in Italy and this was by far my favorite place. We were in Room Number 10 (I believe). The room was simple and sweet, decently large, with a balcony with a great view of the countryside. The architecture of the hotel itself had an old... more

We stayed for 2 nights. Disappointed that, despite booking direct with the Hotel some time in advance we arrived to be told we could only stay in the room for 1 night then would have to move. Eventually gave us a room - we paid for a deluxe but it was certainly not a 4 star. Plus points - room... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in late September. The hotel could really do with some updating, most of the furnishings were on the shabby side. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been updated. I knew there was no elevator but underestimated how inconvenient that would be. We paid 169 euros per night for... more

I was pleasantly surprised. This was one of the cheaper choices I found, and it exceeded my expectations. We had a corner room with incredible views of the countryside. The room was tiny but beautifully decorated and the bathroom was impeccable - newly updated. Breakfast was mediocre but served in a beautiful room. I would definitely stay here again. more

This is indeed a charming old convent converted to a hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room on the second floor which is really four flights up without an elevator. The room was smallish and the most recent renovation was not within the memory of anyone currently living. The air conditioner is controlled is the central office so you have... more

We booked this as a mystery hotel on last minute and paid £87 for two nights with bedfast. It was easy to find out what I was booking by simply cutting and pasting the description into google. The location was fantastic the staff reasonably friendly (they rang and booked a slot for us to visit David in Florence to save... more

We loved this hotel. It is centrally located and has such character. We had a superior room and whilst it may not be lavishly furnished, the bathroom was spotless and the view was superb. I am quite happy to forgo the trappings of a modern hotel for somewhere with such a feeling of history. We had the evening meal in... more

We liked the location of this hotel inside the walls of the old city. It was very convenient to all the local sights. A very restful hotel to return to and the staff were particularly helpful. We attended a wedding in a villa about 15 km. from Siena and found that we could not get a taxi at 2 am.so... more

first the good things: location, the breakfast was fine. the moderately good things: one staff member who was very helpful, felt like he would have given the shirt off his back. the cruddy things: all the other staff that the one friendly guy was having to compensate for. Hot- I asked to have the a/c turned on but the staff... more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Beautiful hotel, staff were always helpful-especially Roberto. It was a great location. The room was small but very clean. I had a room on the 2nd floor-I think it was about 55 steps every night. It was overall a quiet and nice place to stay except when people let their doors slam at night. I... more
