Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is large and very clean, set above an olive grove and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. By far the best breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in throughout Italy, they actually give you food! The family is very gracious. I will stay here again. more

the room was clean and pleasant, the view, especially at night was BEAUTIFUL. we breakfast was all right though not spectacular. the family was helpful in directions. they also allowed free internet access. we never ate at the resturaunt due to the assisi slow food resturaunts in assisi and nearby. more

The Hotel Da Angelo makes you better understand just why St Francis was from Assisi. The views are breathtaking, the setting is pristine and the people are helpful and friendly. This place is great, about 1 kilometer from the city wall so one could hike into town or take the bus that runs near the hotel. Figure on 15 Euro for the taxi from the train station to the hotel. Da Angelo is a 2-star hotel with a 5-star view, just outside of Assisi's walls. The room was comfortable, the service great, parking free and plentiful, and food was excellent. The dining room and outdoor patio overlook the entire valley, so eating here was a total joy. And the price is astoundingly cheap. A great stopover. more
