We stayed at Les Hauts de Rive in July 2007. The hotel is old but reasonably well situtated. We booked it through email and we thought it was quite good fare for swiss standards.

When we paid with VISA, we found that the price charged was different (higher) than what they have told us by email. The lady in charge wouldn´t make us a refund as she said "it was already charged in our VISA" and that she "couldn`t refund in cash". It was dishonest and rather insulting. We had the option to spend the day at the police station and the tourist office managing our complaint or continue our trip. Sadly we couldn't affor ourselves to waste the day.


We wouldn't be back even if it was completely free.

I cannot recommend this hotel. more
