The Seehotel Kastanienbaum is very clean and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice. The food in the restaurant was excellent apart from their version of Veal Cordon Bleu which had the runniest cheese I've ever seen...a bit offputting. The hotel is situated 15 meters from Vierwaldstettersee, and the view is awesome. The rooms were nice and clean, and quite large, with a balcony. We took a ferry from the hotelpier in to Lucerne - a nice 15 minutes boatride. We had dinner at the hotel on the second night - this was a huge disappoinment. Bad service and... more
