Definitely one of my favorite places to stay - so close to the train station, yet in a quiet neighborhood - the rooms were lovely - and the breakfast simply perfect. The only down side is that if you are there on a sunday eve. there are not a places to eat close by - more

Hotel was simple and clean. It was so close to everything but a few blocks off the main road in a quiet residential street. The prices in Lucerne are really high, and I thought this place was a great value. The breakfast was great also, and was included in the rate. Shower was the best we had in Europe! more

I agree with all of the positive comments others have left. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood away from the train station. Hotel Alpha fills the void in affordable lodging in Luzern - a city of very expensive hotels. Rooms are not large nor ensuite, but very clean as are the common bathrooms. Location is excellent - a straight and easy walk to Hauptbahnhof. Two blocks off the comercial area in an amazingly quite residential area. Desk staff provided good service. more

The hotel is a bus ride away from the bus depot at the train station. 2 stops and you're there. All tourist attractions can be easily accessed from this bus depot.
