Great hotel for families, well located at just 5min from Gstaad center by car and next to Schonried/Rellerli which has probably the nicest slopes in the area. The hotel has a great programm for kids of all ages, great wellness/pool, SPA. Pool and ping-pong table, X box and other games. Good quality food and fresh products. Overall very good service.... more

Very friendly and accomodating staff, very good food at the restaurant, very good breakfast, newly renovated quite large pool, nice wellness area with three different saunas, one panoramic (and lots of really huge bath towels provided, as well as bathing gowns etc.). Nice rooms (try to get one at the top of the hotel, which is the first floor or... more

Great new Sauna/ Pool Area, enjoyed the coffee/ cake time in the afternoon, nice guided free hiking/ bike tours, rooms are rustic 80's style. We received a free upgrade to two rooms which made us enjoy our stay very much - did hear some neg comments by fellow travellers reg the standard rooms. Our 4 year old loved YOLANDA, the... more

Our family of four [15 year old and 11 year old] stayed beginning of July. First, if you have expectation of this being quaint little Swiss village, it is not. Next town over (Gstaad) is like Aspen, and this is suberb to Gstaad. In addition, main road to Interlaken with much traffic this hotel is located on (but road is... more

We stayed in a nice renovated room with a wonderful panoramic view. The service from all staff is perfect and the meals and pastries were beyond expectation. We raccommand this fine quality hotel also for families since children feel at home as well. We hope to return to this place again since we have not been received better elsewhere... more

The hotel has a ski shop in the basement, with boot warmers nice warm and dry boots inthe morning. The hotel is out of town, there is... more

We spent a fortnight here with two young children. I have to say that I am fussy when it comes to hotels, yet they managed to impress me no end. The manager is a charming man, very visible and highly competent. He leads his staff well. We had a lovely suite with a panoramic view of the mountains, and it... more

I stayed in the hotel for two nights while with a walking tour. The food, breakfast and dinner, very good. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The lobby sitting area and bar are very inviting, especially when the pianist is playing. It was a very nice, upscale yet cozy, hotel. more

Just returned from a week at the Steigenberger Hotel in Gstaad/Saanen. It is a fairly large hotel, though it remains very cozy and very luxurious. The rooms are decorated with all modern conveniences including flat screen TVs, but in a traditional style. All rooms seem to have really nice views of the mountains. You really feel that you are in... more

This hotel is part of a large German chain and its' staff and demeanor are very German. During our stay there were several large German business groups dominating the facilities. There was very little English spoken, although most of the staff made the effort when spoken to in English. The location is not within walking distance of Gstaad or Saanen,... more
