It's not often I'm impressed by accommadation in ski resorts, but having spent a small fortune at numerous overpriced hotels and chalets throughout Europe, this place is at a level I've not encountered before. We stayed at the Chalet Rotstocki attached to the above hotel. The chalet rooms were completely different to those in the hotel- far better appointed and larger. The bathroom was enormous and luxurious. Access to the local station for trains up the mountain was so easy. The hotel pool was a welcome sight after a long day on the slopes.... more

Just returned from a great week's holiday - couldn't ski everyday as there was TOO MUCH snow but the hotel continued to run like a well oiled machine. Clearly from some of the other reviews this hotel has been going through a transformation. When we stayed here it was definately finished. This hotel is extremely well appointed with a very comfortable ambience. Staff at all points were courteous and helpful. Have just returned from a few days in Grindelwald staying in one of the new apartments at the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof. We booked through a tour group and were provided a room on the rear of the building with a perfect and totally unobstructed view of all their new construction--and that's all we could see--they said they had no other rooms available.
