Free wifi! Lovely communal area. Clean linen and comfortable beds ( we were in a quad). The showers do this water saving thing and switch off every few minutes, and the lights too. But the hostel is close to the train station so going to jangfrau is easy. The bus to town is free. The breakfast was just ok.

I have stayed here twice before and I can't fault it. Its perfectly situated beside the train station or the local bus gets you into town in 5mins. Hotels in the area are very pricey so it was great to come across this hostel as the prices make Grindelwald an affordable short break, I've just booked my third trip there.... More

Staff were extremely helpful throughout the planning and the visit allowing us to fit the group into rooms with a degree of flexibility. As a hostel it worked extremely well, breakfast was sufficient and we took a group evening meal which was excellent quality and quantity and served efficiently. Location next to Grund station is a big plus.

Mountain hostel is a budget accommodation in lovely Grindelwald. 5-min walk from train station, from our 6-bed (3 bunker) room we can see snow-capped mountain.
