Yes this truly is a great little hotel. Excellent facilities (restaurant serves up some very good food; fully kitted gym; excellent location for the ski slopes on both sides of the village). Staff were very friendly and being a seasoned business traveller, I wish more hotels around the world had this level of service as it would make each journey... more

We stayed at the Hotel Eiger for 4 nights. The rooms were extremely clean and nice. We had a nice view of the Eiger Mtn. The breakfast (included) was substantial and delicious. Our only complaint (which really can't be avoided) is that the rooms that face the Eiger and are above a small alleyway WILL BE NOISY in the mornings... more

great location lovely food and rooms staff very friendly would much reccomend only one issue no air con and as on main strret can be slighty noisy in the early am with traffic noise if keeping door open and having south facing room more

I've stayed at this hotel 5/6 times, it's marvellous. Lovely staff, excellent rooms, and fairly recently it's had a wellness/gym area added. Best rooms are those at the front with a full view of the Eiger, but all are nice. We flicked a coin and headed for Switzerland after Christmas. We drove south until we found snow, we found Grindelwald. The Eiger, amazingly managed to squeeze us in on spec for what was a truly superb experience. What makes this hotel simply outstanding is the quality of the staff. Excellent Hotel, breakfast and staff. I checked in after 41 hour travel to a lovely warm clean room with offers of a free drink from the bar. The staff were fantastic, nothing was a problem, in fact the girls on reception were far more helpful than the tourist information office a street away! Loved the included coffee and cake each... more
