Friendly family run hotel in central location, very clean with good hot/cold buffet breakfast in attractive dining room. The old manager was a real pain in the neck. He was very rude but Cody was great...she was a wonderful American lady at the front desk and thus a respite from the lack of customer orientation the Swiss have. more

If you are looking for a clean, nice hotel with friendly staff, go to Splendid Hotel. We spent 4 days there in december, and we loved it, the hotel room was big, clean and with nice views to the JungFrau. It's runned by a family, and they're very nice people, specially Andrea. We were here during what I assume was the high season...mid September.....booked through Orbitz at 230CHF...which I believe is much higher than their average rate. The hotel is older, and the rooms are fairly simple...but the baths are large, and in general we had more than enough room for ourselves and our luggage. We stayed at the Hotel Splendid from July 22-25. The location seemed to be ok for us, but we found Interlaken to be a very crowded and noisy tourist city.
