Youth Hostel Locarno was a very fun and clean hostel in a great location. There was a large breakfast room, ping pong table, and outdoor terrace. My friends and I found it very close to the main square (only a 5-8 minute walk) and just a bit farther to the train station.

The rooms were nice, and our 6-person dormitory had its own bathroom that was cleaned every day. The bunk beds were more comfortable than at some other hostels and each had its own reading light and shelf. The only bad part was the hassle of having to assemble our own bedding -- it took a good 10 minutes to get the sheets on the bed and the comforter stuffed in its cover.

The best part of this hostel was the included breakfast buffet. There were SO many choices, and I was astonished with how good the food was for a hostel.
