It is the only (three star plus) hotel in the center of the pictoresque town of Morcote. The building is significant due to its pink colour and the romantic-historical, almost venecian style builidng. Had a room with frontal view of the beautiful Lake of Lugano. Rooms are small, but adequately equipped. As the only through road runs just in front of the hotel, there is a bit of traffic also during nightime, but as Morcorte is a quite place in general, it is bearable. Behind the builidng, in a kind of private garden, there is a very relaxin small swimming pool, we enjoyed. There is no night life, except eating in one of the lake-side restaurants - but that is romantic, the hotel itself has a restaurant accross the road on a terrace built in the lake, food, eg. ossobucco, a traditional local dish, is good and just a little bit more expensive then the other restaurants on the "lungolago" promenade.
