Excellent spacious room, which turned out to be rather 2 rooms, excellent breakfast, convenient bed, so everything was very nice for those who only spends night in the hotel, BUT... It is located on the main street of Zermatt and you have a chance that those who are partying outside in restaurants won't give you a chance to sleep until... more

Very nice hotel. The room was spacious with an updated bathroom. The location is superb, right on the main street. Lots of great restaurants and shopping areas right outside the door. A two minute walk to the train station. more

Swiss chalet style accommodation in the main street. The rooms at the front overlooking the street get whatever street noise there is, which surprisingly seems to occur all through the night. Our room was large and had everything we needed, including a line to dry clothes over the bath. The restaurant food was good and the atmosphere warm, including the... more

Small family run hotel - stayed here for ten days on a walking holiday. Big room, excellent food (the restaurant sometimes got a bit busy in the evening) very comfortable. We got a good half board rate through Inghams travel agents in London. Highly recommended. more

In March 2009 I stayed for 5 nights in a junior suite (405 swiss frank including breakfast). Overall this is a good hotel but compared with 4 star hotels in Davos and Ischgl (Sheraton ans Seiblishof) where I also stayed this winter definitively less luxurous. The junior suite which we had (room nr 40) was quite small. The bathroom was... more

We booked directly with the hotel for 3 nights for ourselves and our family who joined us to celebrate our wedding. The hotel was everything we could have wished for and the staff were very kind and accomodating to all our needs. I have nothing but good things to say and we will definitely be returning to celebrate our anniversaries... more

We have just returned from a weeks skiing holiday in Zermatt and stayed at the Walliserhof, which we chose from the internet and then booked direct. As soon as we arrived we knew we had made the right choice! The hotel has only 32 rooms and has a delightful and welcoming atmosphere, and is in a great location .We were... more

The location and ambience of this hotel are excellent. We were upgraded to a spacious "junior suite" which offered summit views of the Matterhorn. Sadly, Zermatt has become quite commercial, but the Walliserhof is an attractive older hotel with its alpine character still intact. The main street setting is very convenient to the train station, as well as shops and... more

A lovely chalet hotel on the main street. Only a short walk to the MGB and Gornergrat stations. Near shops and many restaurants The rooms were large and very comfortable with an excellent bathroom. There was a balcony with a view of the summit of the Matterhorn ( clouds permitting). Staff were all very pleasant Good breakfast more

We stayed here for 2 nights after traveling in Italy. We failed to pack appropriately for the cooler weather in Zermatt and especially appreciated the very comfy and warm beds at the Walliserhof! We stayed in a junior suite that was very large with a loft area containing 2 extra beds. The bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower. Great... more
