This is a lovely hotel and perfect for Zermatt. The location is quiet but central with stunning views of The Matterhorn. it does not do dinner but Zermatt has 91 restaurants and you should really eat out and enjoy the atmosphere. The breakfast is excellent with lots of healthy choices, especially the variety of fresh fruit and meusli. The room... more

This was the best hotel of our Switzerland trip (12 days and 4 hotels). We were greeted with a drink and a smile. The woman at reception was extremely helpful with options in ways to see the Matterhorn. There were new snacks every time we came back to the hotel in addition to the fresh fruit in the lobby, and... more

Our three night stay was a marvellous experience. From the welcoming glass of Prosecco on arrival to the small gift on departure every detail was thought about by the friendly people who run this hotel.Every afternoon there would be complimentary drinks and canapes laid out to welcome guests back from their day out. If only more hotels gave thought to these... more

This hotel is in a great location and our balcony had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. We were picked up from the train station by the hotels taxi service and greeted with mimosas in the lobby and chocolates on our pillows after our speedy check-in. The room was also larger by European standards and well appointed. The breakfast was... more

We booked using the Trip Advisor reviews and were very happy with our choice. We had 3 young kids and we had two beautiful adjoining rooms. The hotel is nicely located, clean and has some very nice extras like afternoon tea, hot cider, appetizers in the lobby at all times. The breakfast in the morning is very good. The staff,... more

In general, very good, especially towards location and service and cleanness. Our room was on the first floor and the view is fine-no need to pay extra for better view--unless you are supersticious.(view of a pretty cemetery) . The size of the bedroom very good for swiss-french standard, we had booked for larger room. The only thing I would like them... more

We stayed here with our two little boys aged 4 and 7 during Easter break 2008. The staff was so kind and helpful - everyone made us feel right at home. The location is superb - 1 minute walk to the main street, 1 minute walk to the bus that takes you to all the ski mountains, 5 minute walk... more

I stayed at Allalin for 3 nights, 8-11 Sept 2007. I just loved this place! From my very arrival in Zermatt on the Glacier Express, I was met by the charming Concierge, who took me to the hotel in the small electric bus (like an enclosed golf cart really) and I was welcomed, offered a drink while I checked in... more

Covenient and very quiet location just off main street so it's close to restaurants and shops and only a few minutes walk to either the cable car system or the mountain railway station. Helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Lovely modern building but with great use of traditional timber designs throughout. Room was serviced twice each day. Loved the bircher... more
