We stayed one night in the Heaven/Hell Room/Apartment. It was definitely artistic and unique. There is a bar downstairs. Zurich is extremely pricey and the Hotel Otter was fairly reasonably priced. I give the Otter a three-star rating because it is what is... for the price, you're not going to find anything better around. The location is excellent -- near a ton of restaurants and good shopping. Indeed this is a funky hotel, but the website is deceiving... The rooms are a little rougher. The shared bathroom was in fair condition, but did have a very deep tub - a luxury in Europe. The location is great, especially if you like to party. But the price is right. more

This is the best hotel for smokers. As we are not smokers, it was a nightmare. We arrived at the hotel and it took a while to find the reception which was rarely open after we found them). They told us we could not check in for an hour, so we expected our room to be well aired and clean.... more
