6 of us - 3 couples from Ireland (5 Dubs & 1 Clare) stayed at the Hotel du Theatre in July for 5 nights. Hotels can be rather pricey in Zurich but we got a good deal booking directly with the Hotel and only needed a credit card as a guarantee. We took the hotel bus from the airport which... more

Easy walk from train station and brand new throughout. Each room has a theme from a play (hence the name of the hotel). Rooms are quite spacious and bathrooms are very large. Limmat river is quite close and the lake is an easy walk. Shops and restaurants are outside the hotel door as is a funicular. Very good front desk... more

The room was clean and comfortable, although small. Our room faced the main road below and it was extremely noisy when the window was open, which made it difficult to sleep. There is no air conditioning, so it was necessary to keep the window open. The hotel itself is in a prime location, near the train station and the river... more

This hotel is in a great location. It's right beside the Old Town, which is probably the most interesting part of Zurich with a nice cafe-culture feel to it, and lots of small interesting shops. The hotel is also very close to the main train station, which is about 1Km (½ mile) away. The hotel is very clean and has... more

The hotel is clean and relatively cheap for Zurich, and very centrally located. Parking was an issue though, the nearby public parking lot closed at night and was closed in the morning, so we had to take ou car out at 7PM and find a spot in the street. The room was ridiculously small, there was barely enough space to... more

We were planning to stay a night (2 families with 1small child each) - booked online and arrived there only to find that they had no rooms available - the previous guests had apparently not booked out from both our rooms and there was nothing the hotel could do but send us to another hotel nearby - the Sorell Rutli.... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night at the end of a trip from Germany. The hotel is close to the main train station as well as the main shopping street and plenty of restaurants. The room was very small but this didn't really bother us too much as we weren't in there all that much and for the... more

My new hubby and I stayed here for 5 nights as part our recent honeymoon in Switzerland and we would strongly recommend it. Particularly to people who are finding/have found Switzerland to be a place mostly above their budget range. Its location is perfect for exploring the city and for arriving by train. The hotel decor is quirky and cool.... more

Spent 3 nights in this trendy hotel in July '07. It can be found in an excellent location, just round the corner from the main station. It was very clean and well-equipped and was decorated with some cool artwork which really brightened up the room. Nice touches like chocolates left on the pillows added value to the experience (I know... more

Stayed for one night on a business trip in September. Needed two single rooms for myself and colleague. On the advice of a previous reviewer I booked two Superior Singles for us as these are supposed to be larger than Standard Singles. I've never seen such a small room before in my life. The shower and toilet were two separate... more
