I came here for a mini break and was a bit sceptical about going to a youth hostel. As a child I'd stayed in many and have mixed feelings. I can not fault Port Eynon, it's location is idyllic and it's magical have the sea views. The rooms have been refurbished as well but the best part of the stay... More

Port Eynon is a wonderful place. I missed the bay when I was having breakfast at home, the day after arriving back. The coastal walks are great: especially in May when the gorse bushes are in flower. The staff were friendly and helpful to me. Thank you!

Excellent hostel this! Clean, comfortable and all as you'd expect, but the location is the best part. At high tide you are meters from the sea. The 8 person bedroom also has amazing views so to get that, go with 7 friends. :-) From the lounge you also look out directly to the sea and the kitchen must have some... More

This is of course an excellent location - a room with a view - somewhere you can stay and enjoy views which would normally cost a fortune. However it is the people that make it warm. In Dianne came genuine friendliness, enthusiasm and a sense of fun & that having a good time should be encouraged. Clean, tidy, close to... More

We have just returned from a group holiday at Port Eynon. The location is superb - ideally placed for exploring the local area on foot or by bike and we loved eating breakfast looking out to sea! Dianne is an excellent host - she had the log fire ready for us on arrival and any small problems were dealt with... More

This was our second stay at YHA Port Eynon, the first being 7 years ago. Lots has changed and been updated and the new showers were fabulous to come back to after a day on the beach! Just some little bits were annoying though - we had the same room as seven years ago and the blind was still broken,... More

A first rate YHA hostel. Very friendly and welcoming team running the hostel situated in a former lifeboat station on the beach in Port Eynon. Very clean and good facilities ( small shop on site ) and ideally placed on the Coastal Path. Very good value too.

On arrival we were greeted with the great news that we were going to be in the dorm room that overlooks the slipway of this old lifebaoat station. Imagine waking and going to bed with the tide lapping under your window and then retreating to expose fun rock pools and a stretch of golden sandy beach. Amazing venue, clean and... More

YHA Port Eynon is a great budget place to stay on the Gower Peninsula. The hostel has a superb location right on the beech and is within easy reach of several fantastic beeches, such as the one at Rhossili. The hostel is clean and newly refurbished, some of the rooms are very compact however! The Warden was very helpful and... More
