This is a great place for folks who are vacationing in Holland and want to get to know the locals and avoid the big chains. The Hotel Abbekerk was a clean and comfortable place for my family to stay during our recent (Aug '09) weekend visit to Apeldoorn. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Abbekerk.. The "staff" is actually a husband and wife team who lives in this large house with their cute daughter and treat you as house guests. Of course the climb up the stairs is part of any "Dutch" experience..but the comfortable homey atmosphere of the home and the room is well worth... more
