A typical rather bland chain hotel, but quite well-presented., although the different levels made it far from ideal for the disabled.
Our room was huge and the bathroom was very high spec, (if rather sterile) with bath and shower. All the staff we encountered were young, cheerful and helpful and all spoke good english.
Dinner was interesting. They were happy to leave the sauce off my shrimps, but covered the melon and ham with diluted jam! We had 3 types of potato with our (very heavy) main courses, but no vegetables. The chocolate pudding was superb. I suppose the food wasn't really any worse than elsewhere in the country!
The lift was dirty and suffered with kitchen smells.
Its a convenient stop in (or just outside) a dreary town and close to motorway intersections
