Great location - to those who thought it was out of town - get a bike! It's the way to travel in Amsterdam and the hotel is a beautiful and short bike ride through Vondelpark to the city centre. The neighbourhood is a real (and upmarket) area of Amsterdam with local bakeries, beautiful streets to walk in and tram very closeby (about 2 minutes, if even that)
We brought our 1.5 year old and the place was perfect although it is not a child-oriented hotel (so don't let that put you off - it isn't overrun with kids!) Lovely sitting area by the river for your glass of wine at night, beautiful rooms, great breakfasts, ducks to feed in the river running through the garden. Free internet and coffee in the guest living room, as well as fridge and coffee maker in your room, nothing was a problem for the friendly staff. more
