It was one of the best hotels, which I have seen. Huge wardrobe, great oldstylish disayn, nice decor and view to the river. Servis is exellent. Very tasty breakfest in room, amaizing bathroom. Only one problem - all rooms are non-smoking. Can reccomend for sweet weekend :-) more

The Amstel is a beautiful hotel of great quality. Rooms and public areas are impressive and the staff is really great, especially the concierge. The location is beautiful however a little bit inconvenient if you want to see Amsterdam. more

The hotel is sensational (huge rooms, great service, great view) but in a terrible location if you're there to sightsee or otherwise enjoy the canal zone. Also no alternatives to the amazingly overpriced Intercontinental breakfast - more on that later. It's just too far away - can't walk, and you have to take two trams get back to the hotel... more
