We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming innkeeper to a beautiful and spacious room. After two weeks of lukewarm showers in Europe, I was treated to a real HOT shower. Knowing we had an early flight, our innkeeper made sure we had a sumptuous and extra early breakfast, while arranging our cab for us. As an innkeeper myself,... More

I have always wondered how those big hotels managed to have hot water for all their guests! Now I know the answer: they don't! We have split up our hot water installation and heating system to ensure they can handle the demand, since a lot of people want a shower at the same time. Many, many thanks for the big... More

Upon choosing the place I was startled by the amount of "good" to "excellent" reviews it got on Tripadvisor. After experiencing it, I confirm they were all right: excellent location (nice street, close to the park, close to a tram station connecting the place to center in 5 min), beautiful and spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, and very very friendly owners.

I stayed with my husband at the Prince Henry Private suites and gardens in March 2013 for two nights. It was a complete pleasure, from the plumbed espresso/cappuccino hutch, automatic lights in the walk-in closet, beautiful and spacious room filled with light, fireplace and helpful, accommodating hosts to the easy transit on the streetcar from central station and incredible breakfast... We were looking for a quiet place to stay in Amsterdam. We found it at the Prince Henry, and more. Everything about our room ( we took the one with the kitchenette) was appointed with guest comfort in mind. Plush robes, cookies, comfy sofa, fresh flowers, poetic view into the gardens. Our innkeeper was warm and friendly, attentive but not... More

We enjoyed an excellent stay at Prince Henry. As others have mentioned, its in a lovely location (close to the 197 bus from Schiphol or the Train to Central Station then Tram 2) We walked downtown most days and it took around 30-40 mins. The room was large, spacious with everything you could want. Petra even supplied tea and coffee... More

We recently returned from a second stay at Prince Henry Private Suites and Gardens and, once again, enjoyed the gracious hospitality of Petra and Joop (owners) and their luxuriously comfortable accommodations. During our first visit last September, we spent four nights in the Superior Apartment Suite located on what in the U.S. is considered to be the second floor. The... More

Without any doubt. The room was 5*: huge, totally new, the bed was big and excellent to sleep, the 24 hour Nespresso facility excellent, together with the daily refilled cookies. The Iphone dock fantastic, the sofa even too big. The bathroom was as big as the room itself (!). It had floor heating and was ultra modern (the bubble bath... More

We were scheduled to go on a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. In order to take advantage of frequent flyer miles, we 'had' to travel to Amsterdam five days early and were fortunate enough to select Prince Henry Suites as our base for exploring the city. As noted in previous reviews and on their web site, Prince Henry isn't... More
